Update & Install Software With Incredible Ease

We all like to Install software suited to our computing environment, and the more we Install, the greater the difficulty In keeping each one up-to-date. Some vendors release new versions at set Intervals, whilst others at any given moment. From an end user's standpoint, It can be difficult to keep track of those that need updating. In this tutorial, I will show you how to update & Install software with a click of the mouse.

So you're probably wondering what the point Is of updating a particular software, when It's functioning perfectly normal. Well, developers release new versions for a reason, and not because they're bored and want to kill time.

Nothing Is perfect, and software Is certainly part of this equation. It may lose functionality and stability, or perhaps not perform a particular task as per It's objective, or maybe susceptible to exploitation. New versions aim to take care of all this, by releasing fixes and patches, hence It's Important to keep your software updated.

I will demonstrate how to do this, by using a third-party tool named Patch My PC Updater, that can be downloaded from the official website. In a nutshell, It will scan your PC to check your Installed software, and Identity those that need updating to the latest version. With a simple click of the mouse, It will update each one.

The tool also entails and performs other tasks, which you'll see shortly. So without further delay, let's rip Into this tutorial.

Step One:
Once you've downloaded the tool, there's no need to Install It, so double-click the executable file. In doing so, here's what you'll see.

Step Two:
At the top of the tool, there's a message of 8 Apps To Install, meaning they require updating. Everything you see In red, Is outdated. I've clicked that very button, and a message box has executed, displaying the apps that require updating.

Step Three:
Let's update them, by clicking the Perform 8 Updates button, as arrowed below.

Step Four:
The tool will now automatically perform each update, so sit back and relax- there's no need to physically do anything. For the purpose of this article, I've prematurely stopped the updates. You can see that Java 8, has been successfully updated. If need be, click the Image to expand the view.

Step Five:
This tool not only updates, but also Installs new software. Navigate to the left pane, and you will see a number of categories. In each one, Is a list of available software to download & Install. I'll click on Hardware Tools.

Step Six:
To the left of the window, you can see those that're ready to download & Install. I've checked quite a few entries and on the right pane, all I have to do Is hit Perform 17 Updates, and the tool will Install my selected software from the Internet.

Last Step:
Another excellent feature, Is the option to uninstall software from your computer. I've selected Uninstaller, and on the right pane, right-clicked my Angry IP Scanner software. As you can see, there's a couple of options to completely remove It.

Final Thoughts:
There are many tools circulating the Internet, that perform a similar functionality as Patch My PC Updater, however during my tests, the majority did not fulfill their purpose entirely. The good thing about this tool, Is that It's a portable version without the need to Install It. As such, you can carry It with you on a USB stick and update the software of any computer you like.
